ZN SYSTEMS
Offline Field Sales & Inventory App
A mobile-first field sales app built on an existing MSSQL system, with offline sync, live stock lookup, orders, receipts, and packing workflows.
Key results
Less manual paperwork
Fewer order errors
Around three hours saved each day

Summary
We built a mobile-first web app on top of the existing MSSQL database. It reads and writes the same live data, saves work locally when the connection drops, and syncs it when the connection returns. The office kept its desktop software while the field team gained a practical phone-based workflow.

The situation
Field work had outgrown the counter system.

The business already had a .NET desktop system that worked at the counter, but it could not travel with the sales team. Reps used paper order books, collections staff wrote deposit receipts by hand, and office staff entered everything later. Weak mobile signals also made field work difficult.
The result
Less manual paperwork
The business reduced manual paperwork and order errors while saving around three hours of work each day. Shop and field teams could share live stock information without replacing the existing desktop system, and company data stayed on-site.
Additional outcomes
- Fewer order errors
- Around three hours saved each day
